Description:
Serial #BE11950, .303 British, 25” barrel with an excellent, bright bore. This is a 1945 dated rifle that has retained about 90-92% of an armory applied Suncorite finish with some mild silvering along the exposed edges and high points where the finish has flaked. The matching numbered bolt has streaks of gray along the body with some gray fading on the handle and on the wide safety lug. A milled adjustable rear sight is fitted and there is a small pre-'68 country of origin stamp on the left side of the receiver. The forend and handguards have a fine military oil finish with scattered light handling marks and blemishes throughout, including some minor bruising along the forend and buttstock. A single matching numbered magazine is included which has minor freckling and pinprick pitting on the exposed portion. Also included is an original No. 4, Mk. II spike bayonet with Suncorite finished tubular metal scabbard. The bayonet is in excellent condition, but does have a few bright spots on the socket and blade. This is a handsome, post-war refurbished Lee-Enfield rifle and rates excellent condition overall. FFL or C&R
