Description:
You will like this Type 2 U.S. Martial Henry Rifle.  It comes with documentation from Springfield Research Service.   The "JT" military inspector's stamping located on the left side of the buttstock at the wrist, is there.  It is hard to see.    Serial number is 7130.  Issued to the 3rd Regiment U.S. Veteran Volunteer Infantry, Co. H, May 17, 1865.  This regiment has an interesting history.  They were made up of an elite group.  I do have some of their history.    All numbers match, as shown.  Wood to metal fit is excellent.  The only flaw is at the buttplate where some of the wood is missing.  The pictures show the area clearly.  You will find the well known Henry "bump" on the stock.  Brass has a perfect aged patina.  It is exactly how you want it to look.  Mechanically everything is excellent.  It works perfectly.  There are no issues.  Bore has strong lands and grooves, along with some pitting, and is shiny.  It will rate an easy six on a one to ten scale.  There are no issues with the bore.  The barrel has very nice finish remaining and actually looks much better in person than in the pictures.  Barrel address and serial number are clear and easy to see.  Markings are complete, clear, and original.  The pictures clearly and fairly show the condition of this Henry Rifle.   It will make a very nice addition to any collection.  American Arms & Antiques item #1612.  Please email or call with questions.  501-690-8804
