For sale is a rare Axtell Rifle Company of Sheridan, Montana 1877 Sharps Custom-Express Model Rifle. 34" part octagonal/part round barrel chambered for the 45 2-4/10" cartridge case (aka: Sharps 45/90). Very few C-Express Rifles were built to fill the demand for a double-set trigger model to compete in NRA sanctioned "Black Powder Cartridge Silhouette". Exquisitely engraved and signed by FEGA Master Engraver William Gamradt of Missoula, Montana featuring beautiful American Victorian Leaf Pattern with Gold Inlays.The rifle is complete with Axtell (Riflesmith) Long Range Vernier Tang sight and Spirit-level with Windgauge front globe sight. Rifle also has the upgraded checkered steel shotgun buttplate with recoil reducer in the buttstock. There is a factory letter from Axtell Rifle Company owner Carmen Axtell that accompanies the rifle.
