Description:
This US Springfield "1903" was mfg in 1921 and has the all original type configuration w/the correct butt plate, stock w/fingergroove
and no dings scratches, or any rack wear on it. The stock has a barely visible caretouche it looks like SA/ ??C and is in about 95%
condition w/nice even walnut shadeing throughout. The gun metal is a gray-olive patina w/darker bolt,bolt release and bolt pull. The upper hanguard in excellent condition, also. The receiver on the r-side just behiind the breech has what appear to be two plugged screew holes where it possibly was to be fitted w/a G & H telescope and possibly used as a sniper weapon.The band, trigger assembly and front stacking hardware is also excellent w/slight wear on the edges of the front sight.
The bore is good w/a mirror look and a nice clean twist.
