Russian Berdan single shot infantry rifle, much better than usually encountered, fine light colored walnut stock is solid and shows normal light handling marks only, cleaning rod intact, 1883 date on barrel with normal Russian markings and proofs, typical non-matching numbers on bolt and butt plate as these were sent back to arsenals for refurbishing/cleaning etc., exc. bright bore, tight action, bayonet lug intact, overall fine metal with evidence of light rust that has been wiped, but not buffed or heavily cleaned and thin blue underneath, exc. markings including non-altered crest on receiver ring, needs front swivel only- easily replaced, scarce item found in few military collections.
