Description:
I am reducing the size of my collection and am offering several fine examples of European guns. These guns were purchased by me while stationed in Germany.
This Fortuna/Merkel 303e is a very fine example of German craftsmanship. LOP is 14.25 inches. Weight is approx. 7 lbs 4oz. Barrel length of 28 inches and Imp. Cyl - Imp. Mod. chokes. This Model 303e Sidelock O/U Double Shotgun has very nice small scroll engraving on the side locks. Wood and Blueing are in great condition. Nice grain on the oiled stock. There are NO importer’s markings anywhere on the gun.
Today's value is in excess of $ 22.000.
There are others on the internet but not many are nicer and most are considerably more expensive.
This is truely a great value for a investment or just a beautiful gun to hunt with.
This is a fine example of a 303e. It will definately make some collector and shooter very happy.
