Quality Consignments Wanted! These pistols are cased in an original Hartmann pistol case that is N.R.A. sponsored and made excusively for them. The registered serial number of this case is 27. The case comes with all of the cleaning accessories for the 38 Special and the 22 rim fire. The first Smith & Wesson is a 38 Hand Ejector Military And Police Target pistol Model of 1905 Fourth Change with original factory letter. This pistol's serial number is 265604. This pistol was shipped to Schoverling, Dale, & Gale In New York City on March 31st 1917. This pistol is fitted with a 6 inch barrel. The front sight is the pinned style with a silver dot on the blade. The rear sight has the adjustable notch target sight. The pistol is all matched serial numbers as well as assembly numbers. The grips are the correct grips with the golden S&W Medalions and diamond pattern around the mounting screw base. The action works perfect and releases crisp. There is a light drag line between the cylinder stops. The color cased parts are strong with vivid color. The original blue finish would rate a 97% overall. The grips would also rate a 97% condition. This is a extremely fine condition target pistol.
The second Smith & Wesson is a 22/32 Hand Ejector Target model 1903 sometimes called the Bekeart Model. This pistol's serial number is 225121. This pistol is fitted with a 6 inch barrel. The front sight is the blade pinned style. The rear sight is the notched target sight. The original grips have the golden S&W medallions. The pistol has a light drag line between the cylinder stops. The action works perfect and releases crisp. The color cased parts are strong with vivid color. The original blued finish would rate a 96% condition. The grips would rate a 97% condition. This is also a very fine condition target pistol. Both of these Smith & Wessons would make any collector proud to own! The Hartmann N.R.A. Carrying case is in very good condition showing some wear and use. The low serial number shows the early production listing. As a complete set this puts the these guns in a very unique and highly collectable status. Having a pair of Smith & Wesson target pistols in it's original early period carrying case is a real find!
