Description:
Early Model 1894 rifle with 26 inch round barrel chambered in the desirable 38-55 WCF caliber with full length mag tube and rifle butt. Very good shiny bore. Crisp action. Some case colors remain on the hammer and lever. Loading gate retains a good amount of original fire blue. Barrel and mag tube Have thinning original blue turning brown/gray. Receiver has most original blue on the left side of the frame while the right side has blue turning a brown/gray. Original sights include a blade front and sporting rear. The wood is very good with a very few scattered minor handling marks. Cody research form says gun was made in 1895. This is a very fine honest antique Model 1894 rifle!
