Remington Rand 1911-A1 Cal. 45acp. Ser. 22321XX.
This is a late WW2 beauty of an Army 45. The gun has retained about 92-93% of the original factory finish. The bulk of the loss is due to a rub mark from the holster on the right side of the slide. The balance is just some slight slide and sharp edge silvering.
There is no rust, scratches or pits to be found anywhere. The gripstraps show no sign of graying.
For all practical purposes, the gun appears to be nothing but a Holster Queen.
The right side of the frame has the crossed cannons Ordinance stamp. The top of the slide, a "P" proof. The left side of the frame has the FJA inspector's stamp as well as a "P" proof.
All parts match and are proper for the gun.
The grips are the correct small ring type. They do show holster wear, as does the the rest of the gun. The right panel has a small chip out of rhe bottom and the left, a holster rub mark near the top.
The bolt face, slide rails and the "in the white" feed ramp show very little use.
The correct "Hi Standard" (HS) stamped barrel is sunshine bright with razor sharp rifling. Not a trace of frosting to be found. Like the rest of the gun, showing the minimal use of a true Holster Queen.
This Rem Rand comes with one correct "L" (M.S. Little Co.)stamped magazine..
