PRICE REDUCED!! Rare and Cody Firearms Documented Winchester Model 1886 Fancy Full Deluxe rifle in 45-70. Original 26" part octagon/part round barrel, original 2/3 magazine, pistol grip, checkered stock, shotgun butt, rubber buttplate, plain trigger, Lyman front and Lyman leaf rear sights, serial # 110276. Factory records confirm the configuration, show it received in the warehouse on August 26, 1896 and shipped the same day to order number 16780. A beautiful special order rifle in high condition showing 85% deep barrel and mag tube cap blue just starting to tone. Mag tube about 40% patina with deep blue in the protected areas, shows wear and evidence of light cleaning. Bore is excellent, bright and shiny with very little wear and sharp rifling. Original fancy stocks grade XX by lower tang marking. Lower tang also marked with assembly number "51" and "RB". Upper inletting of buttstock has matching assembly number "51". Original style "H" checkering has never been freshened and remains in very good condition, showing only light wear and use marks. Same for butt stock - minor dings and marks, never cleaned or sanded, and retains most of its original varnish. Original hard rubber butt plate with widow's peak and Winchester logo is intact with two very tiny chips missing at toe. Fore arm checkering likewise is untouched and original with minor wear. Fore arm has one significant compression dent about the diameter of a nickel on the underside just forward of the receiver. No extra holes anywhere. Receiver and fore end cap exhibit 25% original case colors with the balance turning the typical nickelly-silver color. Hammer and lever about 40% case colors with the balance toning to gray. Although the barrel shows signs of a different rear sight being installed at one time, the correct Lyman 6A two-leaf rear sight is intact, as well as the original Lyman ivory bead front sight. Factory letter will accompany this rifle. With this many special features, there can't be too many others like it, and it's possibly one of a kind. A fine addition to any Winchester collection. Antique so only proof of age required and can ship directly to your doorsteps assuming your local laws allow it. No international sales.
