Description:
One of only 753 bolt action Chaffe-Reese Rifles manufactured by Springfield Armory in 1884. This Rifle uses a uniquemagazine feed mechanism, tube loaded through a trapdoor in the butt, it employs a double rachet which moves a cartridgeforward one space each time the bolt is cycled. This rifle is in very good original condition. It shows the V/P eagle head markingon the barrel, and SWP/1884 Carouche on the left rear buttstock.
