The original barreled receiver is dated 7.54. A fantastic CMP non rebuilt gun. Just needs an H & R trigger-group to be totally correct. The original Parkerized finish is about 95+%. The only wear appears to be sharp edge silvering and the slide handle slot and thats about it. There are no pits, rust, scratches or rub marks to be seen.
The stock and handguards are a nicely matched dark walnut. There are just a few small scattered nicks and dings but nothing that really detracts from the overall appearance. The stock is DOD stamped, Boxed Eagle/3 Stars, and the pistol grip has the Circle P proof. The stock does have two small arsenal repairs. One is a small brass pin, hardly noticeable just in front of the magazine floor plate. The other, a very small, also hardly noticeable walnut plug to fill a small abrasion on the right front of the stock.
Most of the finish on the butt plate is missing. However, there is little or no evidence of rust or pits. The slide rails, feed ramp and bolt face show very slight use. The muzzle reading is 1+ and the throat reading is also 1+.
The bore, like the rest of the gun, is rather outstanding. Mirror bright with razor sharp rifling. You won't find a better gauged bore than this one.
Should be absolutely deadly on the range.....$1395.
