Description:
Colt SA six-shot revolver. Serial #51978 matching, 1879 manufacture. Smooth dove-tail grey, untouched patina overall. Desirable 7.5" barrel, with clear Hartford barrel address. Bore is clean, very good+, .44 caliber. Clear 3-line patent dates on left side of frame. Barrel has a small "44" stamped on the underside at breech. Grips are period 2-piece slim mother-of-pearl and have a wonderful look with some minor chipping at bottom, this only adds to the character of the gun. Mechanics are crisp. Hard to find these in honest, untouched condition. An nice Colt SA with desired 7.5" barrel.
