Description:
For sale, a beautiful Browning A5 Model Light Twelve made in 1974 in excellent condition that appears unfired.  This "Light Twelve" is a Belgian made Browning shotgun with a 28-inch Modified choke, vent rib barrel.  Considered one of the timeless classics in the automatic shotgun world, the Browning A5 is well made, tough, and reliable.  This example was made during this model's heyday when they were made in Belgium by FN for Browning before production was moved to Japan.  This A5 is very minty with 99% of the gloss factory blue finish remaining and showing zero wear.  If not for some very tiny spots on the barrel where some surface rust was allowed to form at some point it would be flat mint.  The previous owner stated it was bought by him many years ago as an unfired gun and in all the time he owned it he never loaded or fired it either.  The condition of the shotgun backs up his claims as the face of the bolt shows no signs of ever having been fired, there was no powder residue/carbon in the gas system or internals, and the bore is flat out mint with no signs of having been fired; everything inside matches the "like new" condition of the outside of the shotgun.  The only thing this Light Twelve needed was a light cleaning of some of the metal parts to remove the original factory lubricant which had turned into a sticky brown coating.  While it no longer served its purpose as a lubricant, it formed a protective barrier that helped keep this gun this minty.  As you can see in the pictures, the wooden stock set is in excellent shape and it has 99% plus of the factory clear coat remaining.  The clear coat is nice and bright with no spider cracking or damage.  The checkering on the pistol grip and forearm is still nice and crisp, and the original black plastic buttplate is perfect.  If you have been looking for a minty Belgian Browning A5 Light Twelve to add to your collection it would be nearly impossible to find a better one than this!
