Description:
One of only 20 made, this gun was made for the Maharajah of Patiala in 1920. Hand detachable lock action with removable strikers, Westley snap top lever work and model C dolls head extension. Scroll engraved action, trigger tang and grip cap, with an ibex engraved on the cover plate, and trigger bow has “.22.H.P.” inlaid in gold. Stock has right hand cheekpiece and trap grip cap with an extended trigger tang and serrated hard rubber butt and gold shield is engraved with initials “AR”. Splinter forend with horn tip and Deeley latch. Tip off Claw mounts with vintage B. Nickel 4x36mm scope. Gun retains traces of case colour and the cover plate has been re-blacked. The bores are good to very good.
