Description:
The Owner of a Savage Model-99 Take-Down Lever-Action Rifle can Double the use & significantly increase the Value of His/Her Rifle With this somewhat Rare Auxiliary .410 gauge Barrel. Useing the .410 Barrel requires single-shot operation of the firearm. As the M99's internal rotary magazine would/will not handle the bulky .410 shell. Once the .410 Barrel was screwed into the frame, the rifles original forearm was held in place with the sliding/adjustable barrel screw- bolt. The screw-bolt applied clamping pressure to the forearm tip. Forearm lengths varied, thus small slits were made into the barrel to custom fit. The Barrel has the Savage Markings ( title-pat. date-address & gauge). These barrels were offered in 22" & 24" lengths and Are almost Impossible to find!
