26 inch round barrel. Beautiful gun with all case color remaining. Dimmed some on the right side. Bbl blue is exceptional at about 95%+. Bore is VG to VG+. Nice slick action. Crisp markings. Rare Marlin receiver mounted sight. Marble No. 5 blade front and a blank in the rear dovetail. Wood matches in condition. Hard rubber butt plate. The 97 Marlin was an excellent lever action 22 and this is a very good example.
