Description:
The Colt Officer's Model Target (Third Issue) was manufactured from 1927 to 1949. The 6-shot revolvers were fitted with either a 4, 4 1/2, 5, 6, or 7 1/2 inch barrel, a heavy barrel was introduced in 1935, adjustable front sight, adjustable rear sight, checkered walnut grips with Colt medallions, were blue finished only, and were chambered in either .22 LR, .32 Colt, or .38 Special. This gun is as described, is fitted with a 6 inch heavy barrel and chambed in .38 Special. The gun retains about 70% of its original blue finish with spotting on the barrel, frame, and cylinder. The grips are in very good condition, with flattened checkering, nice looking medallions, but no cracks or chips. The screw heads are mostly un-molested, but most importantly the sight screws are un-molested. The bore is bright, the action functions perfectly and it has a tight lock-up on all 6 cylinders.
