Description:
This is a C. Sharps low wall falling block rifle chambered for 45 Colt. It has a 25-¼” blued octagonal barrel that tapers from 1-1/16” at the receiver to ?” at the muzzle. The finish is in good condition, as is the bore. Mounted in the front dovetail is a fixed blade sight and mounted in the rear dovetail is a folding buckhorn sight. The rear sight can be folded to be used as a ladder sight with adjustment for elevation. “Old Reliable” is stamped into the barrel between the sights and “C. Sharps Arms Co Inc / Big Timber Montana, USA” is stamped behind the rear sight. The color cased receiver, lever, and adjustable trigger are all in excellent condition with no corrosion or scratches. The walnut buttstock and forend are in similar condition. There are no noticeable dents or scratches on the forend and a German silver inlay on the schnabel. The buttstock has no blemishes, a raised cheekrest, and a color cased crescent buttplate. Length of pull is 14”, overall length is 43”, and weight is 8.6 lbs. Our stock number is #A285.
