This Remington has the desirable 2-line barrel address. Barrel is somewhat rough but has VG rifling and perfect mechanics with tight and undamaged hinge. The metal is excellent overall with no rust, pits, or corrosion and has sharp markings, excellent screws, and retains about 90% original factory nickel. Mother of Pearl grips are undamaged with no chips or dings and show very slight shrinkage. Approx. 12,000 to 18,000 of the "Model 2" were produced 1870 - 1888 and it was a very popular pocket pistol for cowboys and gamblers in the early West - unfortunately, not many survived the years in undamaged or unaltered condition. This Double Deringer is all original, in perfect working order in about excellent condition and will make a great collectible !
