Payment Types Accepted: Credit Card, Personal Check, Money order. Description: This is a refurbished Stevens model 44-½ made between 1894 and 1915, chambered for 32-40. This rifle has a 24-?” half octagonal blued barrel with a gently taper from 15/16” at the receiver to 13/16” at the muzzle. The finish is in good condition, as is the bore. The front sight is a fixed blade and the rear sight is adjustable for elevation. “J. STEVENS A & T CO. / CHICOPEE FALLS MASS. U.S.A. PAT. APR.17.94” is stamped on the top flat behind the rear sight. The receiver is in good condition, with no dents and only small hairline scratches. The receiver and lever are color cased while the hammer and breechblock are blued. The walnut stock and forend are in very good condition. The forend has no dents or scratches and the buttstock with color cased crescent buttplate only has a few small dents. The overall wood to metal fit is very good. Length of pull is 13”, overall length is 42”, and weight is 7.4 lbs. Our stock number is #A289.
