Description:
This is a truly fine game gun from the world-renowned Fabrique Nationale in Herstal, Belgium. It features beautifully figured walnut with extra fine checkering mated to a tight, dependable Anson & Deeley boxlock action with subdued borderline and screw engraving. The 28-inch barrels are choked Improved Cylinder and Modified. Length of Pull measures 14 and 3/8" to the front trigger, and 13 and 5/8" to the rear trigger.
The gun was manufactured in 1971 according the the included letter from the manufacturer. Also included are two original manuals, sales tag, and proofing certificate, as well as the original box and packing paper, making this a particular treasure.
The condition of the gun is excellent, especially considering its age. The metal and bluing are in 99%+ condition, with no scratches or appreciable wear. The wood has several scratches from field use, which are pictured. Both barrels fire and eject. The bores are excellent with a mirror-like appearance.
