Description:
This Remington Rand M1911 A1 was manufactured in 1944 and is a true WWII pistol. It has not been re-worked or re-finished, all parts and finish are original. The bore is excellent. The exterior has very little wear except for very minor rubbing wear along the edges of the frame. This 45 automatic is ID to Clemens Caldwell, Danville, KY who served in WWII in the US Army Air Corps. It appears to have been carried in a holster. There is no wear on the front grip strap. There is no pitting or corrosion. This is a excellent condition pistol with service ID to a WWII Soldier…..45 ACP Cal. with a 5 ½” Barrel.
