This Remington Rand M1911 A1 was manufactured in 1944 and is a true WWII pistol. It has not been re-worked or re-finished, all parts and finish are original. The bore is excellent. This 45 automatic is ID to Lt Colonel Gary Griffin who later worked for NASA. It appears to have been carried in this holster. There is evidenced of spots on the slide that appears to be from blood stain. There is no wear on the front grip strap. There is no pitting or corrosion.
