Description:
Colt Model 1878 double-barrel hammer shotgun made in 1884 in good to very good condition. It has not been 'cleaned or refinished' and is in original condition. Action is tight, barrels bore is very good with a few minor pits inside at the rear just forward of the chamber. The finish is very good with a small spot of pitting on the left side (see photo). It is missing the sight bead. All in All it's a very good shotgun for a collection and/or if checked by a knowledgeable gunsmith it may be safely fired.
