Description:
Rare previously undocumented variation. Very few Kar 98 k's made up on VZ 24 actions are known. This one appears to have been made using a complete VZ 24 barreled action with CZ proof from 1934. At some time in 1944 it was put up into a Kar 98k using byf and dot parts. This gun was never force-matched or re-numbered! byf Mauser sheetmetal trigger guard and floorplate plus stamped barrel bands as well as non-sanded stock with crisp eagle-H stamps put assembly in the early-mid 1944 period. Previous owner's father found this rifle in November 1944. Pristine, untouched condition with a perfect bore! Original sling included but it is broken due to deterioration.
