This is an Anschutz barreled action with a Custom made Cooper gunstock. Cooper bought a very limited number of Anschutz barreled actions and put their craftsman to work with REAL AAA wood. Cooper built less than 250 of these rifles between 1995 and 1998 (They are not sure of the exact number, but less than 250.) On this example, they used an Anschutz 1730 barreled action and crafted a gorgeous stock for it. Look at the color in this beautiful piece! Hues of green, gold, red and broze throughout the heavily figured stock. Shadow line raised cheek piece, ebony fore end tip, steel grip cap, sling studs and recoil pad. Classic design stock, beautiful cheek piece with medium sporter weight barrel. Takes standard 1730 magazines. Anschutz accuracy and machining tolreances with Cooper hand crafted stock. Hard to beat in a very, very rare piece. Did they make 1, 2 or a half dozen in 22 Hornet??? Surely a flagship in most any collection.
