Description:
SOLD. A very rare and unusual K80. Super Crown K80's are far from common and today, since Super Crowns are no longer listed in Standard Engraving patterns, this gun would probably be called a Custom Crown. The engraving is by Gerhardt Reich. The serial number is 12000 which hints it was a very special gun - perhaps used by the company in displays. The wood is spectacular and beyond Exhibition; I would call it Special Select. LOP is 14-3/4" over the original factory 1" pad. DAC is 1-3/8"; DAH is 2". It has about 3/16" cast off, favoring the right handed shooter. There are a very few minor handling marks to the wood.
The metal is near flawless except for the normal wear patterns to each side of the monoblocks from opening and closing the gun. A couple of the barrels have a modest amount of scratches to the barrel bluing from installation of the forearm. In addition to full coverage on the receiver, there is engraving on each front barrel hanger, the chambers and barrel shoulders. The 12 gauge barrel has factory "shark gill" porting in keeping with the practice at time of manufacture. This gun has been factory verified as correct. A Custom Crown upgrade today would probably range well above $50,000. Truly a rare K80.
