Description:
Winchester/Miroku Model 1886 Extra Light, .45-70 Government, lever-action rifle, with a 22-inch barrel. I would rate this rifle at 98 percent, if the rear sight had not been removed from the rear of the barrel and a Lyman peep sight installed on the rear of the receiver. The rear-sight mounting base is still in place, but the sight cannot be located. In every other respect, this rifle is in excellent condition. The walnut stock and forearm are near perfect, with a couple very small specs and a couple of very tiny dents on the forearm and on the right rear of the stock; all are visable in the hi-res photos. There are no other mars or blemishes. The hot-salt blued barrel has a deep black, gloss finish, with the tiniest abrasion behind the rear-sight mounting base. The receiver and cocking lever are also in excellent condition, with no marks or signs of wear. The butt plate is also unmarked. There is a good article available online at

Unfortunately, there is no box, accessories, or owner’s manual. I will ship it with the fabric case the owner kept it in. The buyer pays actual shipping by any means requested and insurance, if desired. Shipping and insurance will be approximately $25 - $35.
