A Redhead drake from the Mt.Clemons,Michigan area circa 1930s.The body is carved from balsawood and has chisel carved feather details.The wide body style was designed to be used on open water to keep the decoy from tipping in the waves.The head is carved from nothern cedar and is well shaped and properly painted.The decoy retains its original paint.An original old decoy for the collector or person who wants a peice of sporting history for the den,office,or gunroom.
