Westley Richards Anson & Deeley Fixed Lock Double Rifle chamberd for .32/40 Express (.32-40 WCF). One of only 12 guns made by us in this caliber, completed in 1912. Fixed lock action with removable strikers, Westley snap lever work and model C dolls head extension. Double trigger action with a bolted safety and “Safe” and “Bolted” in gold. Scroll engraving with maker’s name inside banners, engraved trigger tang with serial number in gold and engraved steel grip cap. Bottom of the action is engraved with a Roe buck and doe and the trigger bow displays a bear. Stock has right hand cheekpiece with an inlaid medallion engraved with a former owner’s crest and an inlaid “7”. Steel grip cap with an extended trigger tang and serial number in gold with a blank gold shield. Splinter forend with horn tip and Deeley catch. Gun underwent a very subtle but complete refurbish by Doug Turnbull, Keith Owen and Bruce Bradshaw. Excellent bores. A very nice handling and rare gun. In a lightweight canvas case.
