5th model Burnside bearing the 1864 model marking. Original barrel with 6 grooves, bore rates a 7 shiny with full grooves and rifling. Mechanically fine. All lettering legible. S/N 16,xxx range. Stock still shows the cartouches. Metal has faded to an even patina. No serious scratched or dings. A very nice example of the Burnside carbine
