SOLD! Marcel Thys, Liege .450 Nitro Express sidelock double rifle with 26 1/4" ejector barrels with quarter rib. Express sights with one standing and two folding leaves all with gold center lines. Silver .105" front bead. Bores remain as new. Bolstered back action sidelock reciever is French Silver with 80% coverage British style scroll engraving. Bushed strikers. Bolted safety. Top tang extended over the comb. Bottom tang extended to the grip cap. Excellent trigger pulls. Front trigger articulated. Fairly straight grained English Walnut pistol grip stock as a big bore should be. Engraved trap pistol grip cap. Splinter forend with lever release. 15" LOP to a leather covered .8" Decelerator pad. DAC-1 1/2" DAH-2 3/4" Cast Off-1/4" 10lb 7oz balancing 2" in front of the hinge pin.
This gun built in 1984 and originally a .458 Winchester. Recently rechambered and re-regulated by J.J. Perodeau to the lower pressure and rimmed .450 Nitro Express. Regulated for Hornady 480 grain with 55 yard target by Mr. Perodeau pictured. Barrels reblacked at that time. Cased in oak and leather with canvas outer cover. This is an outstanding gun in the British style and certainly the equal of any British best gun. Shoulders and points with ease. Excellent condition and value. SOLD!
