This (1961) first year production rifle has, as reported by Winchester, had the firing pin recall performed in 2008.

Metal Condition: Spotty rust on the exterior of the barrel and sight hood, a few scratches on the trigger guard and bottom metal. The magazine blued finish is very worn.
Wood Condition: The wood shows field use marking and an old re-varnish job that is flaking off. The recoil pad is poorly mounted, and the front sling swivel and screw stud is missing, though the mount is there.
Bore Condition: Very good bright and sharp
