1889 .44-40 ROUND BARREL RIFLE, MADE 1891, I think this one suffered slightly poor storage as it retains most of the deep blue but has some light scattered surface freckling that is really minor on the barrel and magazine and has never been cleaned, receiver shows fine deep blue with some thinning on the sides but mainly all intact with a little edge wear, bore has one area of pitting a few inches back from the muzzle with the rest of the bore fine+ and fairly bright, original buckhorn rear sight with Rocky Mountain blade front sight, fine+ forend, solid butt stock with a couple usual very small chips at the upper tang/receiver juncture, probably had a tang sight on at one time as the filler screws in the factory drilled holes are missing, half cock/safety notch very weak, light trigger pull, still retains the lever catch which is often missing on this model.
