Payment Types Accepted: checks, cashiers/bank check, money order Description: MODEL 43 IN DESIRABLE .218 BEE CALIBER, MADE 1950-1951, this model was introduced in 1949 and only made until 1957, and starting right about the time this one was made Winchester factory drilled the receivers for scope mounts- the way to tell is if the rear receiver ring slants back that's an early model NOT drilled for scope mounts and if the rear ring is cut straight up/straight down it was factory drilled- most people don't know that, this one is the latter variety and has Weaver bases mounted with a blank in the rear sight dovetail, the metal retains nearly all the bright blue and even retains the front sight hood, bore is perfect, the odd thing is the stock which is STRAIGHT without a pistol grip. I don't know if this was a special order from Winchester or whether someone simply filed it off- which would seem odd, there are no file marks in the wood to indicate this, but that may very well be what happened, correct magazine, front trigger guard screw may be a replacement, a very difficult model to find especially in this caliber,  this should be a great little shooter.
