SALE PENDING A fine high condition Winchester Model 70 Pre-64 Varmint rifle chambered in 243 Win. made in 1957, 2nd year of production for the 243 Varmint rifle. Monte Carlo stock with the blued checkered steel butt plate. Barrel underneath is marked "ST 56". Bore is excellent as new. Very little wear on the bolt or bolt face, retains most of the factory blueing on the extractor and rails. Blued finish on the 26 inch medium heavy stainless barrel is at 98%+. Unertl 10X Vulture scope is in excellent condition with original Unertl mounts and rings, standard fine crosshair with no graduations, adjustable objective. Stock is in nice original condition, sharp checkering with no cracks or repairs of any kind. Original inside also with no alterations or bedding to the barrel channel. Some s and bruises just ahead of the floor plate on the forearm. Perfect sharp barrel address, proofs and action markings. Original sling swivels remain. A fine addition to a Pre-64 Model 70 collection. Shipped from FFL to FFL or C&R. Boxed and shipped in a plastic hardcase USPS Priority mail 65.00
