About Us: I am a custom gunmaker specializing in re-creating pre-World War I sporting rifles, crafted with precision and respect for tradition. Starting with quality rifles such as the Ruger No.1, Mauser, Winchester Model 70, Ruger M77, CZ, or BRNO, I transform them into sleek, slender hunting rifles inspired by the elegance of 1910 designs. I also craft the elegant Faeton Underhammer muzzleloading rifles and Model 1911 .45 Super Longslide pistols. Call me or visit my site, which is listed on some of the photos, for more information regarding my line of fine bespoke firearms. Also check out my Custom Services listing under GUNSMITHING.

Description:
This handsome early Ruger M77 is a rework of the gunsmithing team of Manley and Nicklas. Thirty years ago they specialized in smithing and resculpting the stocks of Ruger M77s by slenderizing and recheckering and their work was strictly first class.

This M77 started life as a .30-06 but has been rebored and chambered to the outstanding .338-06 which is now readily available as both loaded ammunition and reloading components. It was also fitted with a superb custom trigger and the bolt has been beautifully jewelled making the action silky smooth. The 22-inch barrel wears the factory sights and bears a pre-warning one-line barrel address. Scope rings are also included.

This rifle is an outstanding example of the work of Manley and Nicklas and must be seen and handled to really appreciate the quality of their work.

More detailed photos are available for serious parties.

If you appreciate the work of Manley & Nicklas and would like such quality work performed on your rifle, please visit our site which is listed in the last photo.
