Description:
The very best 1st generation Colt Single Action Army that I have ever seen. The Colt blue is present about 98% and case colors are bright. I got it from a gunsmith who has dissasembled it and found no evidence that the gun had ever been fired. No trace of the usual marks on the back plate behind cylinder, and no wear of case colors near the frame top. The gun is crisp, indexes perfectly, and has a bore that is as new. The case was obviously made for the gun, but I do not think it is an original Colt case.The gun has a 7 1/2" barrel and is a .44-40. One of the very best outside of a museum. SN 170XXX all matching, and has black powder frame. There is a small crack on the top of the case, but it does not affect the value. A terrific 1st generation SAA for those who want the best.
