Description:
This is a Sterlingworth 12 gauge shotgun built by Fox Gun Co between 1910 and 1930. The #3, 28” reblued barrels are in decent condition with an even finish but scattered pitting. The bores are smooth. The left choke is modified and the right choke is improved cylinder. The receiver was color cased but it is very faded now. A patina is developing on the receiver but there is no pitting or scratches. The blued trigger guard has some finish wear on the edges and engraving around the border. The walnut forend and pistol grip buttstock have checkering at the wrist and forend. There are a couple scattered scratches but few that disrupt the finish. The grip cap is stamped “A.H. Fox Gun Co. Philadelphia P.A.”. Length of pull is 14-¼”, overall length is 44-½”, and weight is 6.6 lbs. Our stock number is #A316.
