Description:
This is an very early Colt SAA Cavalry Model U.S. marked and inspected by "Ainsworth" . Has all matching numbers, #4906. And are found on the frame, trigger guard, barrel, which is an aged, replacement, back strap and cylinder. Also has the "A" stamped on the trigger guard, backstrap, cylinder, barrel, etc. Has a replaced trigger and base pin. Also, the barrel is a period replacement. The one piece wood grips show shrinkage from age and old repair. Has a cartouche on both the left and right hand side. All the metal is a grey patina and does show some original blue to brown patina in the cylinder flutes. Action is strong and functions like it should. Has a 7.5" barrel. The bore is pretty good, showing fine pitting. Buyer pays $35.00 shipping to lower 48 states. International shipping varies by location.
