CLASSIC 1893 .38-55 OCTAGON RIFLE, MADE 1903, fine aged barrel blue, original buckhorn rear sight with Rocky Mountain blade front sight, mag tube aged to an uncleaned and pleasing plum/brown, exc. markings, receiver also an uncleaned mottled brown, fine wood with good wood to metal fit and one crack/chip repair to the left side of the wrist coming back from the receiver to the lower tang- nicely repaired with no gaps and blends very well, bore a little dark and worn, but NOT heavily pitted with good rifling, marked "Special Smokeless Steel" on the barrel, tight action.
