Payment Types Accepted: checks, cashiers/bank check, money order Description: 1892 .44-40 OCTAGON RIFLE, #35XXX, MADE SECOND YEAR OF PRODUCTION IN 1893, this rifle came out of right here in Montana, good aged and thinning barrel blue, with flat top buckhorn rear sight and small blade front sight, mag tube also has good aged blue mixing heavily brown especially toward the bottom, has a dented area of the mag tube on the right side about 2 inches behind the magazine retaining band that any gunsmith could take out, receiver shows some thinning blue on both sides and bolt with the balance aged gray, good blue on the loading gate, fine wood shows normal light handling and has very tight wood to metal fit, tight action with safety notch in the hammer starting to get a little weak but still holds unless the trigger is pulled with force, surprisingly fine bore with good rifling and some minor surface roughness toward the middle of the bore that might brush out better, hard to find such an early 1892 octagon rifle in .44-40.
