This is a nice well marked Colt Model 1860 Army .44 caliber Revolver. Has the serial number #44074 or the last 4 digits,# 4074, on the barrel, frame, trigger guard. butt strap, wedge and the cylinder. Has several inspector's markings on barrel and cylinder, trigger guard, etc. Has 8" barrel with a strong bore showing some pitting. Action is crisp and indexes properly. The metal is all grey patina and brass patina. The one piece walnut wood grip is solid and shows some small losses on the front lower edges. Has an outline of a Cartouche on the left side.
