Description:
This is a high quality gun that is the equal to any "Best Quality" English double. It has highly figured wood and full coverage engraving comprised of game scenes and scroll. Extremely fine and well executed checkering. Round knob semi-pistol grip.
Horn inlay at forend tip. Gold engraved sheild in toe of stock. Ornate C.G. Bonehill buttplate.
The condition is excellent and appears to be original. If any refurbishment took place it would have been done by the factory years ago.
Bores are perfect, locks are crisp. Tight-on face with or without the forend attached. Gun locks-up like new.
Has 2&3/4 inch chambers in Nitro proofed fluid steel barrels. This gun will use modern ammo without any issues.(steel shot would not be acceptable).
Gun has modern dimensions. 14&1/2 LOP, 1&3/4 drop at comb, 2&1/4 drop at heel.
Weight is 7 pounds even. Barrels are 30 inches in length Chokes are improved cyl. and modified.
This gun was part of the collection of the noted author Larry Baer. Best known for his expertise on Parker shotguns.
This gun would be a proud addition to any collection, and
would also be a great gun in the field for the "Vintage shooter".
