Model 1898 Springfield Rifle. Excellent condition. Refinished?. Cartouche and circle on wrist are excellent-not sanded off. Excellent wood-excellent bore-excellent mechanics-excellent blue-handling marks only. Sights; rear one is a deluxe adjustable and the front one is a hooded aftermarket.Now I am asking for opinions from the Springfield Collectors? This rifle shows no signs of being cut off. It has a 26" barrel, it is the correct serial number range for an Ordnance rifle, has the 26" barrel, the stock looks correct and the cartouche is correct aong with the mark on the wrist? Opinions? This is a very nice survivor rifle in excellent overall condition. Would make a great Collector or Shooter. Will ship to qualified parties for shipping/handling/insurance.
