Description:
Marlin tip up revolver marked  "38 Standard 1878" on the top of the barrel. Chambered for .38  Center fire, S&W cal. Pocket revolver dated 1878. 5 shot with  3 1/4 inch barrel stamped 38 Standard 1878 and on the left side with J.M. Marlin, New Haven, CT. U.S.A. PAT. JULY,1,1873. Frame show 100% re-blue on the barrel and cylinder. All edges are sharp and square.  Some pitting under the blue, but you have to look really close to see it.  Black hard rubber grips with no chips or creaks. Excellent tight working order and very good bright bore, spur trigger, tip-up, 2nd variation  manufactured from 1876 to 1887. Great for pocket gun cowboy shooting competition or re-enacting.   This is an ANTIQUE and can be shipped directly to you. Sold as an Antique ~ no guarantees, warranties, or liabilities for any actual usage. If any firearms are to be used for shooting purposes, a qualified gunsmith should inspect them first.  Adult signature required upon delivery.
