Found on a farm near Corinth, Kentucky near the Grant County/Scott County line, this 7 1/2 inch barrel rusty Colt appears to be in .38 Winchester (38/40) caliber. It is fully loaded but not in working condition. It was sent to the NRA for examination in 1993, and there is an informative letter written in response by a contributing Editor, W.H.J. Chamberlain. One can only guess at the circumstances when the gun was dropped. Who did it belong to, and in what activity were they involved? Regardless, I'm sure it could probably be an interesting story.
