This wonderful handmade birch bark canoe. The canoe is lashed with natural materials as would have been done with a full sizes canoe. I do think this may have been made by someone who also did Birch bark baskets as it is decorated with quill work. This is a very rare, early, Chippewa or Ojibwa folk art piece and is not the typical tourist souvenir. The work is far superior. Some of the quill work is missing, but does not detract from the art. DIMENSIONS: Canoe: 17" long x 4"? wide PAYMENT Cash, postal money order, cashiers check, personal & business checks. May order at riverjucntion on-line with credit card. SOLD |
