Description:
Ithaca 4E single barrel trap gun. This is a very high condition 1953 manufactured 4E, 12 gauge, 32” vent rib, choked XF (.042”), mirror bright/perfect bore, 98%+ original blue. The wood is exceptional. The highly figured buttstock has a 14 ½” LOP over the original Ithaca red vented trap recoil pad, 1 3/8” DAC, 1 3/8” DA monte carlo and 2 1/8” DAH with neutral cast. The beavertail forearm is equally handsome. The case colors on the frame are deep and nicely variegated with a nickel size spot of surface rust on the bottom front of the frame. Mechanically excellent. Weighs 8 lbs. 14 oz. A really fine “E” grade.
